August 31st, one of the most torturous days of the year for me. The start of a new school year. As the hot weather begins to subside, I must go back to my very special pit of doom as a freshman and take my rightful seat at my desk. (Enter huge internet sigh here).
Anyway, I've recently been trying to find ways of telling people about animal rights and veganism. I've already started to hand out stickers to my closest friends and I've shown some pamphlets and books about vegetarianism to everyone.
Today I gave my friend a sticker, and stuck it on her binder. She said "I kindof hate PETA." I asked her why and she answered "Because they always like to make problems."
"How so?" I said. "I mean, PETA isn't starting problems, they're just informing people about problems the world ALREADY has." That sort of shut her up. (:

The Not-So-Big Beginning
Introductions are always hard for me. And if you're wondering, yes, it's always been like this. I've never been good at introducing myself, or my subject. School essays are always hard for me to do because of the introduction. But all this is beside the point, I've created my own blog to keep track of the vegan/animal rights activist life at school.
See, it's all hard. I'm entering my first year of high school, and I'm about to come out as an animal rights activist and a vegan, because I've only just discovered this awesome lifestyle. I'm not sure how people will soak in all this info. But, whether they'll make fun of me or not, I'm not gonna change. I'm gonna stick to my damned activist ways, because thats how I like it. Or will I? Did I mention I've never been good at standing up for myself, either? Yep. It's a big problem.
Don't worry, though. I'm not the kind of vegan activist that will explode in your face about eating meat. I'll encourage you to try it though, and I won't like it, sure, but I'll accept you for who you are, because that's how I want people to treat me. (:
^ By the way, I'll always end my blogs with a smile (I will officially start this blog when school starts, August 31.)
I'm not sure if I'll get any followers for this thing, but I'll sure as hell try.
